The Sentimental Thread
A downloadable game for Windows
You start the game as an older woman named Irene who realizes she hasn't seen her husband in some time. Searching her house, she realizes he isn't anywhere to be found. She bravely steps out of her house in the dark to search for him. Meanwhile... you play your cat Olive who is hungry and feels left abandoned. In search of Irene Olive finds feline intruders in her beloved home. Investigating the situation, she asks these Cats if they've seen Irene. They all know her, but they all know different versions of her. While trying to solve the mystery of where her owner is She finds out the shocking truth about why these strangers are here and what Irene is really up to.
There are 2 endings, I apologize there are many spelling errors and a few little bugs, I want to start a new project, but I wanted a "finished" game first. if the spelling errors don't bother you and see it as charming and enjoy it for what it is let me know what you think of it... and if you like the game and would like to see it polished maybe I'd consider coming back to it and fixing it.
warning: This Game has some horror elements. It also tackles some sensitive topics mainly existential, mental deterioration and death. Use your discretion.
(This is my first game release as a solo game developer)
Made in RPG maker VX- instructions in the download.
Most of the music in RPG maker was ran through SunVox v1.9.6c for extra stank.
some sound effects as well as some of the songs are from freesound.org.
Towards the end there is a subtle seizure *WARNING*

I've been on a niche rpgmaker craze recently and for a short a simple story I got the most emotion out of this one.
I definitely appreciate that reaction. Thank you for playing 😁
